I’m Rosie GM, a multi-award-winning director known for playful, authentic, and wry work across comedy and drama. I’ve a beady eye for form, colour, and performance – and a talent with talent and have directed all sorts of celebrities, actors, personalities, and influencers in scripted spots and shows. I often bring out their funny, even when they’re not necessarily known for the funny).

I direct witty, smart, thoughtful, and beautiful work that resonates with and connects audiences and I run a tight and happy set.

I cut my comedy teeth working with the likes of Vic and Bob and Alan Partridge. My very early career saw me buying jock itch cream for the Bear Grylls team and secretly filming drug smugglers at Gatwick Airport.

Before turning to directing, I held some very grown-up jobs running scripted development departments in TV and working as a producer in comedy.

I am a proud Bristolian with bases in Brighton, Bristol, and The Gower in Wales.

Recent Work

My recent work includes the double RTS-nominated 6-part comedy series Ruby Speaking for ITV; a trio of playful ads for P&O about the nuances of different travellers and voiced by Isy Suttie; a bonkers post-match analysis bathroom spot (and Campaign’s Ad of the Day) The Football Managers, for Victorian Plumbing.

Alongside a whole year of Iceland ads (including their Christmas campaigns, on which I got well acquainted with a prawn ring).
